Im planning on customizing a new desktop for multi uses. So i was wondering what i would need to suppose two monitors at the same time. Like have one screen watching a movie and another playing game or playing music and such.Creating a new desktop with 2 monitors?
Most of the recent video cards will allow you to do this as they all seem to come with two video ports, mostly DVI. You just plug things in and away you go. I love my dual display system.
Recent motherboards will allow you to do this too. The AMD systems based on AMD chipsets such as the 690G, the 780G and 790GX all allow for two monitors through the onboard video. Performance may suck a bit for gaming but you can do everything else just fine.
A point to consider is that you can run 2 LCD monitors for less electricity than one CRT. DVI has better throughput than VGA so will probably give better performance.

All you need to do is, hook both monitors up.
Right click on your desktop, properties, settings, click on the drop down menu, click dual monitors.
Check the box next to ';Extend desktop to this monitor';
You're done.
You're going to need a graphics card that handles two monitors. There should be software to let you set it up as two separate monitors, one huge monitor or mirrored monitors.

Creating a Web Application Prototype via MS Powerpoint or MS Visio?

I use Axure (axure.com)..there is a 30 day free trial. Its a rapid prototyping too that will probably work out better than PPT or Visio. If you really want to use one of those tools.. Visio has a windows application template (Software %26gt; Windows XP User Interface) built in that should have all of the controls that you need to do quick web prototypes.

Now, my idea would be to make one of my own, show that to them, explain that I am making a ';symbol of my family'; and perhaps liken it to things they can relate to, like (depending on their age range) hold up a familiar object that we all recognize, like the flag represents the U.S., a dollar sign represents money, even the familiar arches of McDonalds...and go on to explain my coat of arms, maybe a paw print because I have a dog will be on it, a peace sign because I hate to argue and always try to ';keep the peace'; maybe a pom pom because I coach cheerleading, or deer antlers because I see them every morning and I like to sit outside and have my coffee and watch them before I start my day...all those sorts of things would be on mine, and how I would want people to recoginze when they saw MY coat of arms...and of course, it would have to be in my favorite NFL team colors-blue and white! I think if you could find a story or legend about a coat of arms, that would be cool. Maybe look up your last name or someone's that the kids would recognize. Also, maybe review what positive traits could be, so they have an idea of what to come up with. I think this is a really cool activity that these kids may remember for a long time. Is there any way real objects or materials could be included? Sometimes that helps to keep their attention and help those kids who say they can't draw. So, this might be old CD's (like the back side of those AOL CD's), different colors and textures of cloth, pieces of wood, metal, cotton, etc. This might help them analogize: ';I put cotton on because I'm a soft, tender person, or because I love looking at clouds,'; or whatever. Have fun!

What a wonderful idea. My hat is off to you. I do not know anything about Coat of Arms but here is a suggestion I used to help myself heal from child abuse. It needs to be done like hypotism or visualization, whatever you want to call it. You talk them into deep breathing, relaxing, then after they are relaxed have them picture the parents the should have gotten. Pick loving mom and dad describe : start by describing them walking through the woods and down a path that leads to a cute looking cottage. At the door is their very loving Mother welcoming them home. She gives them a big hug and kiss and has them sit down for a meal she has prepared especially for them. Dad comes over and hugs them too telling them how much he loves them and has been waiting for them...go on and on with this giving them everything the need to have a wonderful, happy experience...I do this every once a while even now and am age 59. It always makes me feel loved and wanted, even though I have dealt with this issue many times in the past years and have created a happy satisfying life for myself.
Give them the meaning of Coat of Arms...these children are probably not stupid by any means and wont need to be talked down to. If given the chance these children will be great! But if the people who are here to help them don't stop treating them like second class people with maladaptive brains then these kids will be just that. Teach them what you know not what you think they will understand. They might surprise you.

I am just starting, so I need it rather simple. I have smart mixed Traktor and Ableton live, but it seems like more horsepower than I need right now. My new HDTV audio is 1/10 of a second faster than my stereo system, creating an echo. How do I fix it?
I just bought a 52'; Sony LCD and hooked it up to my existing analog stereo system (which worked fine from my previous Sony CRT TV). Turn down the TV speakers. Like the previous poster said, it cancels the surround effect anyway so why use both at the same time? Also, with some brands of TV it actually says in the owners' manual to do this as it can harm the Tv if using both at once. (I don;t know why, but my new HDTV had this statement in the owner's manual.)

I have just finished reading this book for my civics class and it was very interesting. He addressed many topics throughout the book and gave very convincing solutions to the issue of poverty. But in the book i was wondering why he never mentioned the issue of sweatshops when he addressed both poverty and globalization? Does anyone know the reason for this?

Leaving morality aside for the moment, what would even be the purpose for cloning an entire human being? I can see only two reasons that you would EVER need to clone an entire human being:
First, if there was a plague that threaten to wipe out the entire human race, you could save uninfected cells to automatically regenerate the human race in the far future after the plague had run its course and died out.
Second, it would be the only practical way to send the human race to other planets circling other stars since the journey would be thousands or tens of thousands of years long.
But, getting away from science fiction, what would be the problem with being able to clone individual organs from your own body to use in transplants? Organs like a new kidney, or a new liver, or a new heart? Organs that could be transplanted WITHOUT the worry of rejection? Would that be an immoral use of cloning?
