Need help on stoping guest accounts to be creating comp. admin. accounts. My guest account is on limited only but it was able to creat a new comp. admin. account, so how do I prevent that right? without deleting the guest account?Stop others from creating an administrator accounts?
I dont fully understand, but :

The guest account CANT be removed. However, it can be highly protected and disabled. Its also a known security hole, exploited by hackers.

a) Setting password

1. Start / Run...

2. Type : ';cmd'; and click Ok

3. Type : ';net user guest ';insert password here';

4. Press Enter

b) Disabling account

1. Start / Control Panel

2. Click User Accounts

3. Look under ';or pick an account to change'; and click on ';Guest'; ';Guest account is on';

4. Look on the 4th option : ';Turn off the guest account';

5. Close Control Panel

You can also RENAME the guest account. Renaming the account makes it slightly more difficult for unauthorized persons to guess this user name and password combination.

1. Start / Run...

2. Type : ';gpedit.msc';

3. Click %26amp; browse on : Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local Policies / Security Options

4. Once there, look where it says ';Accounts : Rename guest account'; and double click on it

5. Type anything you want

6. Click Apply / Ok

7. Close that window

Hope it helped. A bit ?

You don't really have a guest account if it's able to create an administrator account.

If it's really a limited user account, this is the error message you should get when you go to Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; User Accounts:

';You must be a member of the Adminsitrators group on this computer to open User Accounts...';
It should never have had that right from the start...infact it couldn't have that right? it's just not possible unless you or somebody else went into parental controls and gave it admin. rights it self
disable command prompt for guest account and make sure that only one person is admin.
password protect the admin account
