What software is good for creating indexed type file ..ill try explain?

i have collected many jokes and i have them on wordpad but i have to scroll to find is there software i can use so i can click on a catergory like animal jokes for example i hope you understand what i mean.What software is good for creating indexed type file ..ill try explain?

Do you have Microsoft Excel? That is very good for this type of thing. Most people think Excel is for number crunching and such but you can use it for all sorts of purposes.





If you know what I'm talking about, then you should understand this. You can keep adding sheets to the excel workbook each you can rename as a different category. No need to keep opening new files. Then, you could put a joke in each cell and you could even make it more organised by seperating the jokes with coloured borders.





You could even make a contents page where you click on a topic and you're taken straight there using hyperlinks (they're in excel as well, not just the internet) but it should be easy enough with Clear, named sheets. So no need to overcomplicate things.
